The next 13-inch Apple MacBook Air may be slightly increased in size

The next 13-inch MacBook Air could offer a slightly larger panel, going from 13.3 to 13.6 inches.

Just a few days ago, we learned that the Cupertino company could introduce a new model of MacBook Air, larger, with a 15-inch screen. However, it seems that this is not the only novelty in this segment of Apple’s product catalog. Indeed, if we are to believe the CEO of DSCC Ross Young, it would seem that the 13-inch MacBook Air could also be entitled to a small change which would notably involve a slight increase in the size of its panel.

That being said, this increase would be quite minimal. Right now, the 13-inch MacBook Air has a screen that actually measures 13.3 inches. According to Ross Young, the next generation would see the panel increase to 13.6 inches, an actual increase of 0.3 inches (7.62 mm). It’s hard to say that this will make a real difference in everyday use.

From 13.3 to 13.6 inches

Either way, it’s also worth bearing in mind that the rumors surrounding this MacBook Air refresh today claim that the Apple brand will introduce an all-new design, with even thinner bezels on the sides. In other words, the Cupertino company could then increase the size of the slab without increasing the external dimensions and the general size of the machine. It should therefore be possible to store your 13-inch MacBook Air in any protective / storage / transport accessory designed and designed for a laptop of this size.

That being said, as said above, 0.3 inches is still an increase that should go completely unnoticed. However, this would be an opportunity for Apple to boast of always doing better. In any case, no one knows when this new 13-inch MacBook Air could be made official. Until then, patience and we will take this information as yet another rumor to add to the file.
